SHORT BIO

Born and raised in Southern California, Layla Bina is a punk-inspired, first-generation Iranian-American rock artist. As a teen, her love of punk pushed her to teach herself guitar, nurturing a passion for writing and producing songs. By reflecting on her psychology studies at UCLA, as well as pulling from her upbringing in an insular, utopian suburb, Layla's lyrics cover an array of mental health and social issues. Influenced by her Persian descent, Layla’s distinct voice brings a unique sound to rock. Layla's debut album, "Midnight Burnout," was recorded with Grammy Award-winning Producer Josh “igloo” Monroy.
